The Working Group 2 (WG2) met at the Research Dissemination Center (KEDEA) of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece. This meeting brought together group leaders to focus on the cartography of fermented foods in the diets of COST countries.
Discussions centered on the outcomes of each national group’s presentations, highlighting both common patterns and cultural specificities and paving the way for harmonized data collection approaches.
A key moment of the event was the FFFQ Session (Fermented Food Frequency Questionnaire), dedicated to reviewing and refining methodological tools for measuring fermented food consumption across Europe.
The meeting significantly advanced the collaborative effort toward understanding the role of fermented foods in public health and laid the groundwork for future coordinated research actions.
