The PIMENTO WG3 workshop was held at the Saint Ten Hotel, Svetog Save 10, Belgrade, Serbia, from May 23 to 25, 2022. Organized by Dr. Marko Stojanović from the University of Belgrade, the workshop gathered WP3 co-leaders to select the EFSA and Satellite projects to be developed by WP3 until November 2023.
The workshop began with presentations open to all PIMENTO members via Zoom by Drs. Guy Vergères (Agroscope, WP3 Head), Reinhard Ackerl (European Food Safety Authority – EFSA), and Seppo Salminen (University of Turku).
The remainder of the meeting focused on sorting, prioritizing, and synthesizing 119 projects proposed by 153 WP3 members organized into 12 groups between December 2021 and May 2022.
There were 24 face-to-face attendees and several online participants.
The output of the Belgrade workshop was the selection of seven EFSA projects (E1 to E7) and nine Satellite projects (S1 to S9), which will now be developed by the newly created 16 WP3 working groups until November 2023.
