On October 28-30, 2024, the WG4 met to discuss the next steps on the survey of innovation bottlenecks. They also prepared the ‘open exchange and feedback from participants’ by finalizing the interactive tools for the session PIMENTO meets industry, and discussed FF cluster identification of the Key points.
PIMENTO meets industry – October 29th :
The aim of the meeting was to inform about the PIMENTO WG4 current activities and discuss with the fermented foods community about actions needed to boost innovation.
EU projects, living labs and collaboration platforms on fermented foods were also presented to participants as well as case studies of innovation in fermented foods. This led to an open discussion with the participants on the needs from the fermented food industry and a preliminary discussion about what a European cluster on fermented foods could look like, and why participants consider this initiative important for the industry.
