Core Group and 4th Management Committee Meeting – Évora, Portugal – September 20-21, 2023

On September 20 and 21, 2023, the fourth Management Committee (MC) meeting of the COST PIMENTO Action took place at the University of Évora, Colégio do Espírito Santo, Portugal. The meeting focused in particular on the development of the Fermented Foods Frequency Questionnaire (FFFQ).

Members reviewed the overall network progress, budget usage, and ongoing activities according to the Work and Budget Plan (WBP) 2, corresponding to the second year of the action. Discussions confirmed that the project is advancing well according to the objectives and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The MC meeting was followed by a Core Group session aimed at preparing WBP 3, building on the discussions and feedback from the MC. The needs of each Working Group were reviewed, focusing on meetings, dissemination, grant program requirements, and the new objectives of the COST action.

Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening collaboration within WG1, identifying priority areas, and preparing coordinated responses to funding calls within the PIMENTO framework.
