The first internal seminar of Working Group 2 (WG2) took place at the Cyprus Univesity of Technology, Senate Building, Limassol.
The program included :
- Presentation of the COST Action PIMENTO
- “The power of fermentation to healtily and sustainably exploit plant-based foods” (online)
- “Assessing the intake of fermented foods to link their consumption with human health”
- “Leveraging the competitiveness of the Hellenic food and drink industry through Research Innovation” (online)
- Presentations by leaders and co-leaders of subgroups G1 to G10
Twelve participants attended in person, with 48 joining online.
Looking ahead :
The main focus in Limassol was finalizing the questionnaire to be completed in each European country to prepare the first cartography of fermented foods. The hybrid seminar actracted more online attendees than on-site. Group leaders will meet again on July 6 to continue progress on this project.
